Bulgari

Promotional Video for Trade Show   Seoul, South Korea   September 2012

 

Led art-direction and created motion graphics for Bulgari Trade Show.

The atmosphere of this 8-minute video was set to black and white movie with the montages of the iconic European architecture and the brand's signature jewelry, which exhibited the brand's distinguished architectural and elegant style with a classic cinematic touch.

Perrier-Jouët

Motion Graphic for Perrier-Jouët Ikebana VIP Dinner   Tokyo, Japan   July 2012

 

Led art-direction and created motion graphic for Perrier-Jouët Ikebana VIP dinner. This global event was held at Happoen in Tokyo in July 2012, to proudly present the brand's new bottle design, over 100 guests of celebrities and the rich and famous worldwide had attended the event.

The animation contents were built in After Effect and Watchout on two 26-meter walls and one 17-meter wall with dual layers.

The visuals were not only served as a giant moving backdrop, they were also video art for the 6-minute dance and 4-minute fashion show. The visuals captured the spirit of the brand and it's new bottle design, which was about the oriental and western cultural crossover by the two great artists (Émile Gallé and Azuma Makoto) from 20th and 21st centuries.

Van Cleef & Arpels

Motion Graphic for BALS de Légende - VIP and Press Party   Tokyo, Japan   April 2012

 

Single-handedly created animation contents of more than 50 minutes mainly in After Effect, with the help of Dataton’s Watchout, the video contents were projected on two 25-meter video walls at Grand Hyatt Tokyo's Ballroom for showcasing the brand's 2012’s collection with dance performance and fashion show.

The art direction of the show was set at illustrating the nostalgia of late 19th to 20th centuries - from Romanticism of Marcel Proust, Monet's Impressionism, to the chic and elegance of New York 1960's high society, which grasped the zeitgeist of the brand's famous parties in 20th century.

House Wellness Foods

A 6-minute video for promoting a new product of House Wellness Foods. The original document contained 50 pages of medical related information in Japanese. The video successfully translated the complicated information into pop info-graphic style which made it easily comprehended.

These are the selected works from 2007-2010, when I was working at Bloomberg Tokyo bureau.

My duties at Bloomberg Television department included creating station IDs and promotional spots for Asia-Pacific channel and the former Japanese channel, designing studio backdrops, taking part in re-branding and re-launch, job delegation, training new hires, designating working process, and setting up templates on highly sophisticated hardware Vizrt.
